Introduction
Becton Dickinson along with Epson and NETS Products Group have developed a unique solution that provides a printed record of the test results when connected to the BD VeritorTM Plus Analyzer. The recommended printer models are the Epson TM-m30 Thermal Receipt Printer and the recently approved Epson TM-L90II LFC Liner Free Label Printer. Both printers print the same identical 3-inch (80mm) wide test report when connected to the BD VeritorTM Plus Analyzer. Each BD printer kit includes the printer, power supply, the custom BD USB cable, and respective media. A custom printer cable is required to connect with the BD Veritor™ Plus Analyzer. The BD cable configuration is USB OTG “Micro-A” to USB “B.” A compatible cable is supplied in the starter kit.
BD Printer Kit Features
Epson TM-m30 is a Sleek 3″ receipt printer with a compact footprint ideal for small counter spaces. The modular case allows for flexible configuration, top load or front load. As previously noted, both printers print the same identical 3-inch (80mm) wide test report. The TM-m30 on thermal receipt paper and the TM-L90II LFC on a liner free label. The most notable difference is in the media. MAXStick is a Liner-Free adhesive thermal label that allows the operator to immediately stick the label a document or patient report without removing a liner backing. No staples, No tape is needed. The custom BD L90II printer firmware also adds a few more features in that the test report generation takes advantage of the label taken sensor. The Taken Sensor accepts multiple print jobs but only prints one label at a time. The printer can also be configured to print from 1 to 4 copies of the patient test report with the default number of copies set at two.
